a shot in the air

It was a beautiful morning and priya and I were walking on the beach, our usual morning walk, as we witnessed an unusual crowd on the beach. Curious as we always are, we walked towards the crowd and discovered that a movie was being shot and that was why people were so enthusiastic. Laughing aloud at the crowd's patience for the Nth take of the shot, we just wondered how these people who couldnt bear to stand for more than an hour in front of post offices or railway stations without grumbling, were so quiet and attentive to the five steps the actor took almost for the 9th time with so much interest.

Isnt it India... And that pacified things in our mind. We people are still fascinated about the sudden cropping of Circuses and a foreigner asking us for a lost address. And so innocent we are, where the West calls us ignorant minds... But when we are nothing more than Innocent minds. And proud are we, for we know that living is not knowing everything and expecting the outcome, instead the beauty of living is, living every moment and taking it with surprise.

And this picture was another surprise, this couple possibly from one of the countries on the north of us, were trying to fly a kite. And it ws so much pleasure to see it gently scaling up, to the swaying breeze and morning sun. We rarely fly a kite here in our place, so this was indeed a pleasure to see.
